Job Description:

Position Summary: Primary functions include greeting, rooming, and assisting patients. Obtain vitals, medication information, collect medical information from patients, and document in the electronic medical record. Job Duties: - Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, continuous quality improvement, safety, environmental, and infection control standards. - Ability to function independently or as a member of a team. - Obtains and documents patient vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, weight, respiration, and pulse. - Notifies providers when patients are ready for examination/treatment, following routine assessment of vital signs and medication list to assure patients are seen in a timely fashion as well as keeping rooms full for consistent flow of patients. - Help maintain inventory of instruments, drugs, serums, and medical supplies, etc., and notify the Supervisor of ordering concerns to assure continued stock and supply. - Prioritizes assignments to complete tasks in a timely and professional manner - Provides assistance to patients. - Keeps exam rooms clean and sanitized between use. - Maintains confidentiality of all patient data. - Maintains patient records and charts to ensure an accurate record of medical treatment. - Demonstrates sensitivity to patient comfort and privacy. - Participates in educational programs and in-service meetings as required. Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent Certification: CNA, CMA, or CCMA, preferred. CPR Certification.
