Phillips County Health Systems is currently seeking a PCT to join our team. Position Overview: As a CNA, part of your job duties will include providing direct and indirect patient care activities under direct supervision, assisting patients with activities of daily living, and providing for personal care, comfort and assistance when necessary. Key Responsibilities: - Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, continuous quality improvement, safety, environmental, and infection control standards. - Participates in educational programs and in-service meetings as required. - Ability to function independently or as a member of a team. - Prioritizes assignments to complete tasks in a timely and professional manner. - Performs basic nursing procedures, including collection of lab specimens, thermal applications, non-sterile soaks, application of simple dressing, and perineal care. - Obtains and documents patient vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, weight, respiration, pulse, intake and output. Obtain blood glucose, if trained. - Assists in admission, transfer and dismissal procedures of the patient. - Provides personal care assistance to patients, including bathing, dressing, eating, bed pans, transportation, and skin care and positioning. - Keeps the patient’s room straightened and clean. - Demonstrates sensitivity to patient comfort and privacy. - Maintains patient documentation as outlined by hospital policy. - Maintains patient records and charts to ensure an accurate record of medical treatment. Maintains confidentiality of all patient data.
